Coming out of the pandemic, I chose wrestling, drawn to its individualistic and challenging nature. I took pride in the discipline and identity that came with being a wrestler.

Motivated to improve, I trained a lot in the off-season. I earned a 34-17 record and placed 5th at CIF Individuals, becoming the first sophomore in program history to qualify for CIF SS Masters.

After my sophomore season, I was named Co-Captain of the team. From the preseason through the end of the year, I won 41 matches, placed 3rd at CIF, and earned multiple wins over ranked opponents, ultimately just missing state qualification.
